Investigation Report.
Joining us on this event where several members of the public who had contacted NGI and booked there place on what turned out to be, for most, an uneventful meeting again.
Our team consisted of myself, Pete and four ladies who were on there first ever investigation.
Pat, Cheryl, Vicki and Michelle were to enjoy every minute of the evening.
The Shambles
The shambles was our first vigil for the evening, and being one of the more active rooms we wondered what the evening would bring.
We started off by just sitting quietly for a few moments whilst our eyes became accustomed to the dark.
The curtains had been drawn but there was still a small amount of light escaping into the room.
A trigger object had been placed on the mantelpiece earlier in the evening and we were aware of a red light being emitted from that.
We began our vigil by answering questions which our new group wanted to ask, and again it allowed time for us all to become accustomed to the gloom.
There was a definite energy in the room and to me it appeared to be a man of approximately 35-40 years of age.
We then turned the light on to start our next experiment.
We began this part of the evening with the Ouija board, although it was fairly early in the evening we hoped for some activity.
It was not long before it began.
I got our group to focus there energies by imagining a bright ball of white light circling them from left to right, growing brighter and bigger with ever circuit. The group seemed to do this very well and i noticed that each one of them was concentrating hard on doing this, and the energy soon built up.
I began asking out for spirit to come forward and with in a few moments the plancette was moving.
I was not in the circle so that i could make sure all our guests were safely protected.
We had quite a bit of response to the Ouija session, half of which was conducted with the light on so we could see if there were any differences between a light room and a dark room.
Once we had a response to the questions and after about ten minutes we switched the light off to see if this would make a difference.
It seemed to! Once the light was off the group reported the plancette to be moving much more forcefully, previously the movement had been quite weak.
I asked some simple questions with some definite responses, and then finally asked the spirit to take the plancette off the board, which after some time it did.
Whilst we were conducting the Ouija board I was standing next to the group leaning on the wall. Where i was standing i was getting almost continuous cold blasts which seemed to be from either side of me.
I was standing with my arms crossed when very suddenly i felt a distinct tug on the sleeve of my t-shirt.
Just a split second before i felt the tug i had noticed a very icy cold feeling around that area, and then tug!
It was an amazing feeling.
I asked Pete to get the thermometer and see if the air around me was colder, but due to him being distracted with the camera he didn’t hear me correctly, so no recording was made of the temperature.
We did however, later on, find a hole in the floor board’s right next to where i was standing and on placing our hands over it felt a very cold but quite weak draft from it. But to me this didn’t explain the very icy cold drafts which were all around me. When Vicki and myself found the draft it didn’t appear to be strong enough for me to feel it as a blast at shoulder height which is were i was feeling them.
Unfortunately our time was up in this room so the group prepared to move into the next area.
The function room
Our group began our 2nd vigil of the night in this room. We decided to conduct a séance and with Pete having set up the video recorder to record the session we were ready to begin.
We sat round a table with hands held and we used two techniques to start our séance. Firstly and simultaneously we began with the white light but also used “the twitch” method to build up the energy and focus our minds. This worked quite well with some laughter being injected into the proceedings when
coordination went awry. But focusing our minds we continued.
I started calling out again for spirit to come forward and join our group.
It was Michelle who first noticed, because our hands were resting on the table, a very slight vibration.
So with that in mind we all stood up and tried to get the table to move, or table tipping as its more commonly known.
As we were standing and calling out the vibration in the table became quite strong, but due to some back problems our group had we soon found ourselves sitting again.
We had several minutes of vibration but unfortunately i couldn’t feel anything. Michelle said she could feel it quite strongly at her end of the table so we switched places.
She like me couldn’t feel any vibration but I could were Michelle had been sitting.
At one point we heard a distinct bang but didn’t hear it again on asking out.
The vibration from the table seemed to respond to questions and it was ascertained that we had a child with us. Soon after we received the acknowledgment the vibration ceased.
The group were very pleased with the activity so far but alas once again time was against us and we heard the next group outside the door.
The Minster Room
We all moved into the Minster Room where we were joined by the two mediums on this investigation.
Kirsty and Diane took charge and we moved into the bedroom area.
It had been said on previous occasions that the Minster room had a vortex which extended down into the Shambles room. Kirsty and Diane immediately picked up on the vortex in this room and encouraged us to stand in the area and see what we could feel.
There seemed to be a feeling of being pulled back into the wall but it was noticed also that the floor sloped in such away that you felt you were leaning backwards. So no conclusions could be drawn from this.
Vicki experienced a tingling sensation down her back and neck but that was about all.
In the Minster a Ouija board had been left for anyone to use, which the group did but our group where not happy with the feel of the Ouija board. They preferred the one which we had used earlier, the DCI one.
So with a very quiet spell we decided to end this vigil and move to our next location.
Lady Catherine’s Room
Lady Catherine’s room was to be our final room for the evening. Although nothing was noticed in this room Michelle and Cheryl volunteered to sit in the bathroom for a short time with the lights off.
Apart from seeing the flash of the air freshener nothing was noted and they both felt quite comfortable in there.
They had been told just as they went in the story of a Most Haunted team member being seemingly locked in the bathroom which at the time had no locks.
Whilst they were in the bathroom myself and Pete took the opportunity to ask the other two members of our group some questions.
We wanted to know why they had decided to go on an investigation, and the replies were the same.
They both wanted proof there was life after death, and wanted to see, feel, and hear spirit.
They got two out of the three, which at the Fleece is pretty good!
We ended the evening in the bar area and were joined by Claire and her group.
Two more Ouija board experiments were conducted with some interesting results but as myself and Pete were at this point gathering our equipment up, we didn’t participate.
We left the Fleece at around 3.00 am having had probably the best investigation to date. Although most of the groups reported very little happening our group did quite well.
We had attended the Fleece with some trepidation as we hadn’t really experienced very much previously. But we both enjoyed our time with our group immensely and would be happy to take them round again.
